Rural Municipal Drainage Course
Overview
This course builds the knowledge and practical skills needed to understand how drainage legislation and common law apply to drainage matters. Learn about the administrative procedures under the Drainage Act for new municipal drains, improvements to existing drains, and the maintenance and repair of existing drains.
The course also provides an overview of drainage assessments, grant collection, and the roles and responsibilities of municipal staff under the Drainage Act and the Tile Drainage Act.
The Rural Municipal Drainage Course is a 1-day course for individuals working with the Drainage Act and the Tile Drainage Act in Ontario.
What You Will Learn
Participants will receive instruction and practical training in the following areas:
