The organizing committee asks that you select Caesars Windsor as your hotel. The CPRW is receiving a reduced rate for meeting space and food which is based on hotel occupancy. The cost of hotel rooms at the CPRW venue are very similar to other hotels nearby.
Travel
By Air
Windsor International Airport is serviced with regular daily flights from Toronto Pearson (Air Canada), Toronto City (Porter) and Montreal (Air Canada). The airport is located approximately 20 minutes (11 km) from the CPRW venue (Caesars Windsor).
Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW) is also an option. Taxi or shuttle transport to Caesars will need to be arranged by the traveller. Travel time is approximately 30 minutes with a cost of . A valid passport and proof of vaccination will be required. The recommended shuttle service from DTW to Caesars is VIP Shuttle (https://viptransportation.ca/) with the cost of approximately $150/trip. Ride sharing will reduce costs from this perspective.
By Rail (most cost effective)
Windsor is served four times daily by Via Rail (https://reservia.viarail.ca/search.aspx) from Toronto Union Station or London, Ontario. This is a convenient and inexpensive option and may be faster to Windsor than by connecting flight.
Travel from Pearson Airport to Union Station via the Union Pearson Express: (https://www.upexpress.com/Home/Index) with service every 15 minutes on weekdays and 30 minutes on weekends. Cost for a return trip is $24.70. The length of the trip is 25 minutes.
At Union Station, there are four departure times for Windsor. The approximate travel time to Windsor is 4.25 hrs. The cost of the roundtrip is approximately $136 per adult using the lowest cost option. Via Rail tickets can be purchased here: (https://reservia.viarail.ca/search.aspx). Via Rail offers WIFI and a power outlet for each passenger. Depending on your class of ticket a light meal is included.
By Car
Windsor can be reached by car via major highways (ON-401) and is approximately 2 hours from London and 3.5 hours from Toronto.
