Field Technician Training Workshop

The 2025 Field Technician Training Workshop builds on the highly successful 2018 and 2020 Technician Training Workshops, which were focused on technicians and supervisors in field crop breeding programs.

The 2025 Field Technician Training Workshop is a unique opportunity for all staff involved in a field research program, including faculty members, technicians, research associates, postdoctoral fellows and graduate students, from across Ontario to learn essential skills for field crop trial management. It is being designed to address research in crop protection, agronomy and breeding.

This workshop will be offered in person at Ridgetown Campus, and online/virtually. The online/virtual option will have the live workshop sessions streamed, and people can participate virtually. 

Topics

Sessions will cover the following topics:

  • Best practices in field research
  • Data management
  • Communication strategies
  • Tools and technologies 
  • Data analysis

Fee

Receipts and confirmation will be issued directly to the registrant.

Fee includes refreshment breaks, lunch and dinner.
