The 2020 Field Research Workshop builds on the highly successful 2018 Technician Training Workshop, which was focused on technicians and supervisors in field crop breeding programs.

The 2020 Field Research Workshop is a unique opportunity for all staff involved in a field research program, including faculty members, technicians, research associates, postdoctoral fellows and graduate students, from across Ontario to learn essential skills for field crop trial management. It is being designed to address research in crop protection, agronomy and breeding.

Topics

Presentations will be given on topics such as:

  • Data Collection
  • Experimental Design and Statistics
  • General Agronomy
  • Remote Sensing for Research
  • People and Organizational Management.

Fee

$250 (only credit card payment accepted)

Receipts and confirmation will be issued directly to the registrant.

Fee includes refreshment breaks, lunch and banquet on January 28th and breakfast and refreshment break on January 29th.

Register

Registration will OPEN on October 1, 2019 and will be open to Ontario residents only until November 30, 2019.

December 1, 2019 - registration is open to anyone (providing the workshop is not sold out).

Accomodations

A block of rooms at the Lamplighter Inn will be set aside for workshop registrants until December 28, 2019.

Each registrant is responsible for booking and paying for their own accommodations.
